If you already have a website, the most profitable thing you can do for yourself is to display Google Adsense Ads. These ads help you earn income. A great book about Adsense and how to maximize your click-through rates is Joel Comm's Adsense Secrets. This book is not inexpensive, but it will pay for itself quickly if you implement the changes suggested within. You can use the income calculator on Joel's site to determine how much income you could be generating.

I have been able to design a site, achieve top Google rankings for my website, and make money by developing site content based upon my life experiences and knowledge.
