Georgia's Advocacy Office serves people with disabilities and is building
a particularly strong advocacy community. The GAO offers parent advocacy
training classes regularly and the training is well worth the time
for any person interested in advocating for special needs children.
Additionally, the Governor's Council on Developmental Disabilities
is also active. If you need help getting the services your child needs
through his/her school, the organizations listed below can help you
find supports and services.
